TSX - Barnes Bullets

  1. LOAD DATA. 100% Copper TSX. BARNES' MOST POPULAR HUNTING BULLET. The TSX was introduced in 2003 and has become Barnes' most popular hunting bullet. The TSX has gained worldwide recognition as one of the deadliest, most dependable bullets you can buy
  2. LOAD DATA. Tipped TSX Rifle Bullets . 100-percent copper body. Since its introduction in 2003, Barnes' TSX Bullet has earned a reputation as the perfect hunting bullet. Now, Barnes has improved on perfection by adding a streamlined polymer tip
  3. For example, data for the 275-grain .500 S&W Magnum indicates maximum loads with velocities significantly higher than Federal factory loads using the same bullet. From .45 to .52 caliber, I've shot more game using muzzleloaders with various Barnes bullets than any other bullet and can attest to their accuracy and performance
  4. al performance that delivers the quick, clean, ethical kills you've come to expect from Barnes
  5. You can use any load from another manual meant for jacketed lead core bullets and use that data with Barnes TSX and Banded Solids. Just watch for the usual pressure signs and work up the load as usual. By the way, a lot of the loads in the older Barnes manual were pretty hot

As such, we show data for both style bullets in a given weight, as often as possible. For example, should you have a Hornady GMX solid core hunting bullet, but our data for that weight bullet only shows a Speer lead core bullet and a Barnes all copper TSX bullet, use the data for the Barnes bullet In 1932, Fred Barnes began selling bullets made in his Bayfield, Colorado basement workshop. Over the next 40 years, the company gained a solid reputation by offering premium bullets to hunters who rolled their own. The Barnes Original became known as the top choice for African game For flexible usage, we provide our reloading data in metric and imperial dimension systems, i.e. charge weight in grams and grains as well as muzzle velocity in meters and feet per second. All the rifle loads on these pages are pressure tested according to the C.I.P. method. The listed maximum loads should never be exceeded Thanks for the info. I only load for 1 rifle (350 Rem Mag)and, with the 200 TSX Barnes bullet, I started with the Barnes #4 listed COL, which resulted in a distance to lands of .080. This puts the case about halfway in the uppermost groove of the bullet (if I remember correctly)

  1. The 110-grain Barnes TTSX bullet is a better choice for the .300 Blackout than its 130-grain cousin, but there is another lesson: If you're loading this bullet for a faster-shooting .30 caliber.
  2. A 168-grain TSX BT can also be used in data for the 165-grain. The 200-grain TSX will not stabilize in barrels with a 1:12 twist. For this bullet, a 1:10 or faster twist is required. When it comes to rugged performance, I always rely on the trusted name of Blackhorn 209. What a feeling it was to shoot a 265 lb. Canadian black bear at 60 yards right between the eyes. Blackhorn 209 is definitely all I need for performance I like the Barnes TSX ammunition and since it's fairly expensive and I am starting to reload now, I thought I'd order some bullets from them and load my own. I downloaded their load data sheets from their website and noticed the 4895 powder mentioned which I didn't have and recalled seeing some.. i just shot a 5 shot group yesterday of the same bullets over 57 grs of imr4350, 3/4 at 100 yds out of my 1903 mauser i bought at a pawn shop. loading for this gun i seated the bullets .050 from the lands, and they shot way better than the ones that actually fit in the magazine. i can fit one in the box, and one in the tube. i am confident enough in my shooting that i will only need one, but.
